Yellow Fish
Our program for little swimmers ages 4 months to 2 years is designed for families who may not always be able to get into the water with their child but still want them to experience the joy and benefits of early swim instruction. Whether parents are busy with other children, have responsibilities outside the pool, or simply prefer their child to work directly with an instructor, this class provides a safe and supportive environment where each swimmer can thrive.
The focus of these lessons is on acclimation to the water and building a foundation of safety skills. Every child progresses at their own pace, with our instructors guiding them gently through milestones such as developing comfort in the water, practicing breath control, attempting back floats, and learning to hold onto the wall independently. These fundamental skills form the building blocks of water safety and prepare children for more advanced swimming as they grow.
In addition to safety and comfort, children are introduced to movement in the water through playful activities. Scoopers (arm movements) and kickers (leg movements) are taught with hands-on support, games, and interactive methods that keep learning engaging and fun. This balance of structure and play ensures that each child not only builds confidence but also begins to associate swimming with enjoyment and success.
By blending early safety training with joyful discovery, this program helps children develop a lifelong positive relationship with the water—while giving parents peace of mind.
